Passion Turned Into Profession…
Hello! My name is Rafał and I’m delighted to give you a glimpse into who I am.
I’ve always been passionate about modern art, design, and other creative expression. My design journey started when I was 10. I greatly enjoyed experimenting with Gimp and Photoshop to create graphics for others, which they could use on Internet blogs and forums. Finally, this passion further developed in my adult life, when I decided to pursue Visual Design as my profession.
I have been a professional designer for the past 6 years.
For several years I’ve been closely working with numerous businesses of various sizes. My focus was to provide them with visual design that would best convey their nature and help them achieve their goals. My specialty is brand design. I love shaping the perception of brands and help their owners realizing their goals and dreams!
Equally important to me is marketing, which I thoroughly studied during my specialization as a Business Psychologist. I believe the core of a great design is the person who will receive it. In fact, there’s science to how we perceive shapes, colors, and compositions. Mastering it allows us to resonate with our clients on a deeper level.
Over the course of my career, I have primarily worked as a B2B contractor. Still, I’ve established long-term business relationships with several of my partners. I strongly believe in building strong and healthy relations with the people I work with. Without a doubt, communication is key!
A life infused with art
Art has always been a huge part of my life. My first creative passion developed when I was 6. That was when I became fascinated with music which soon caused my parents to sign me in to a music school. Thus, I spent a total of 11 years being trained as an instrumentalist and the next 5 years polishing my skills as a vocalist. While not my primary focus anymore, music education developed several of my skills which transferred into other parts of my life.
Music wasn’t the only art I nurtured. As I mentioned above, as a kid I already played around with graphic design, which undoubtedly planted the roots of my current professional passion. I love discovering new artistic fields, like drawing, painting, or animation. I do my best trying to grow my skills and broaden my horizons!
An elastic mind
Aside from my artistic interests, I’ve also possessed a huge degree of curiosity about the world and how it works. I decided to study Psychology precisely because I wanted to understand people better and apply that knowledge to other fields of my life. Although considered a social science, Psychology delves into scientific research methods, as well as business-adjacent areas such as UX design, business management, PR and advertisement. I’ve learned many things about conveying workshops, managing and motivating other people. It might sounds like a very different line of work that design, but I still apply a lot of these principles in my work, as all designs are ultimately created for someone!
Aside from work, I love traveling and trying new things. I think it greatly expands your horizons and help you stay creative. My personal favorite traveling destination is Asia, since it offers a vastly different culture from the universals of the western world.
